If you are like me, you are constantly hearing about green technology, but finding little reasons to integrate those principles in your daily routine. Well, if you consider the largest segment of our economy that is driving our crisis further, home sales, then consider a stimulus to boost low to moderate sales. 

Solar powered communities could provide an alternative to single households reliance on solar energy, which while viable, is not cost effective to the resident. Generators ranging from 10,000 watts to 2, 500,000 watts have been approved by the California hospital system. The latest news helps power California's energy crisis by providing a preapproved emergency power system. This system is capable of extending California's need for energy power to minimum and have an independent reliance on backup measures. 

This is the first time power generators have been pre-approved and help in ensuring consistency of quality and reliability in Industrial strength generators.

Let's Face it. If we could sample every job in the planet, we would. Based on the next upcoming generation , Generation Y, or the Millenials, this generation is more than likely to switch careers 4+ times in their lifetime, rather than Generation X or Baby Boomers who switched 3-5  and 1-2 respectively.

So inside of the next generation of adults, they are driving towards the sampling experience. And who's to blame them. They can search for new jobs instantly, or leach off friends and family for a while.

Careers are over-rated for the majority of them, citing marriage and parenting as factors for success rather than financially based motivations. Maybe inside each of us, we are waiting to try a unique and expressive career, but we worry about the practicality of the whole thing.

Personally, I would love to work for Whole Foods for One week, or perhaps shadow architects and doctors for 1 week as well. Even digging tunnels with gold miners or raising cattle doesn't sound all that bad considering it's very limited. This adventurous life is the ultimate goal of Generation Y and this is all the more reason for them to think in the short term.

The University of Iowa has set in plan $70 million to stabilize and invest into a power plant on campus to power their West Campus Areas. Okay, we know understanding generators for the homeowner can be a daunting task. Do we really need a generator for home usage? What are the benefits?  In this brief review, we will focus on wattage requirements in your typical household. Hopefully, the homeowner will be able to determine their own house needs and then look to make an informed decision.

Normally, there are two components in assessing a generator for your household: (1) Starting Wattage, and (2) Running Wattage.

Starting Wattage: the amount of power needed to power a device, notably the first seconds of operation.
Running Wattage: once the device is initiated the power requried to maintain normal operation of the device. when you run a motor driven appliance such as a fridgerator, furnace, or microwave.

Below is an example of household applicances their starting wattage and their running wattage.

Start appliances with high starting wattage requirements at different times.

The total starting usage is 5300 and therefore the assumption would be to buy a generator over 5000 watts.

You might be reassured to know you don't need all items to function simulataneously. 

1. If you start the appliances at separate times, you don't need 3200 watts of power - only 1600.

2. If an appliance only once in a while, then that helps to reduce wattage usage.

   Power off the fridge and furnace for a couple minutes while you use the microwave - a small restriction saves you 1300 watts.

3. Consider how willing you are to turn less important appliances off.

   You should always turn off the lights and TV, you can use a smaller model.

1) Radio. To find the hours before a game, you have to bring a radio to broadcast the game. Although for some games, we have chosen to bring along an HD TV with a dish pulling in games from across the country

2) Plastic cups for beer pong. what would a tailgate be without plastic beer cups for beer pong. Friends, family, and the occasional straggler who wonders into your fan zone. 

3) Alcohol. Natty Light, Natty Ultra, Miller, Budweiser. It doesn't matter the alcohol as long as it's cheap and in much supply.
